The 'C' Word...

It's been a while since I've posted, but you forgive me right?

I am trying to get ahead, so nothing falls behind while I am away. This past weekend brought some news that I was NOT expecting. On Sunday, I received a text from my ex-husband telling me to, "call as soon as possible... it is important".

I called. He told me that he wanted me to be one of the first to know that he had just been diagnosed with lymphoma, a cancer of the lymph nodes. He wanted me to know, before he told Cierra anything. They are in process of running more tests, but he begins treatments next week. Cancer has so many negative connotations attached to it. In its defense, I know more survivors than not, (Manny included) so screw the 'C' word! Today, I say a prayer for my ex-husband....
